During our 10 day trip to Shenzhen, China, we visited, and conducted a full audit on our five main suppliers, and one potential new supplier. During this trip we reacquainted ourselves with some old friends, and met some new ones.
The audits on all our factories were success, and all passed with flying colours, what we did find during our visits was the massive investments made by our suppliers in modern technology, this ranged from inkjet printers for the silkscreen process, fully automated electronic test lines, inline bare board testers, and state of the art plating equipment.
During our trip we visited a potential new supplier, and were satisfactorily impressed with their plant, and infrastructure, and we now have included them on our list of approved suppliers as a dedicated flexi/rigid pcb manufacturer.
These visits really help forge closer relationships with our supply chain. Roll on next year!
